4th Tzovanios Mountain Race of Eglouvi, Lefkada - https://eglouvi.gr/
The 4th Tzovanios Mountain Race of Eglouvi will be held on the 12th of October 2025, a unique experience in the mountain landscape of Lefkada. The event is dedicated to the memory of marathon runner Tzovanis, a shepherd who ran out of the competition and won the Marathon of the Olympic Games in 1896.

The event is held annually usually in the month of May and includes half-marathon 21km route, 10km route, 5km route and children's races.

The Vasiliki - Lefkada Road and Mountain Race
The event is held annually in Vasiliki, Lefkada, with past events taking place in May and June, featuring various running and duathlon races, including road, mountain and rollers, amidst breathtaking scenery.

The International Sailing Regatta is a charity event which takes place annually (at the end of September)  amongst the beautiful Ionian islands to the south of Lefkada.

The International Folklore Festival is a week-long event held annually in Lefkada typically during the last week of August, showcasing traditional folk music, dance, and culture from around the world to promote peace and friendship among nations.

Literature and Art Festival - https://www.greeka.com/ionian/lefkada/festivals/ The Festival of Literature and Arts takes place in Lefkada town since 1955 every August – among the oldest Greek cultural institutions – offering a variety of events of scholarly and literary content, such as lectures, theatre performances and concerts. One of the greatest moments is when the opera singer Maria Kallas performed in 1964 - her last performance before a Greek public.

Reenactment of Traditional Wedding Feast of Karya
A revival of a traditional wedding in Karya - a series of preparations concerning the dowry of the bride, the house, her costume and everything needed for the mystery and revelry - organized by the residents of the village in the month of August.

Lentil Festival
The Lentil Festival takes place in the village of Eglouvi every year on the 6th of August. The guests can taste the famous lentils and other delicacies during the celebration at the square of Agios Donatos church.

Varkarola
Is a traditional maritime custom in Lefkada, annually celebrated during mid-August. A parade of illuminated boats on the canal accompanied by serenades, choirs and traditional musical instruments offering a magical and enchanting atmosphere by the sea.

• August ^15th: The celebration of the Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni in the region of Frini, the most important religious center on the island, located on a hill above the town of Lefkada. The most popular pilgrimage on the island.
• July ^7th: The feast of Agia Kyriaki is celebrated by the locals in the villages of Nidri and Vlichos.
• December ^12th: The celebration of Saint Spyridon, takes place in Karya village.
